What is Reactivity?
All dogs are reactive, our aim to focus on the unhelpful side of reactivity.
This might include but is not limited to, dogs that; bark, lunge or get over excited through fear or aggression or overexcited.
We are focusing on the dogs that jump at cars or bicycles, the dogs that pull and try everything to get to another dog or those that, the moment they see another dog instantly start barking or growling.
Dogs will react for positive and negative reasons, they could be over excited to play wotyh another dog, this is still reactive behaviour.
Remember dogs may act differently on lead and off lead and we have a number of practical tools that will help overcome these struggles.
Reactivity is often associated with dogs that are being‘aggressive’ or ‘overexcited’ and although the root cause of the behaviour is helpful it’s not entirely essential for working on reshaping your dogs brain response to these triggers.

Neil specialise in working with dogs that react towards a stimulus that creates a fear or aggressive response. Neil's training will work on your dogs emotional response to these situations. We will be working on a long term solution to your dogs behaviour, so they can have a safe and happy life without feeling the need to be on alert or watching everything that happens.
Qualified, Accredited and Professional Behaviourist
As an IMDT Behaviourist Neil has studied how dogs learn, what motivates them and what the function of the behaviour is.
There will be no aversive techniques or equipment used, Neil will be using Positive Reinforcement and Negative Punishment (example taking your attention away) to train your dogs.
As a Professional Behaviourist Neil works with clients to help manage, modify, and prevent problem behaviours in dogs.
Neil is specially trained in the principles of animal behaviour and animal learning with a set of science-backed tools, such as behaviour modification.
Neil will help identify the cause of your dog’s problem behaviour and then create a customised training plan, teach you how to carry it out successfully, and follow-up to help with any headaches you may be experiencing along the way.

Step 1 - Book Your Call

Step 2 - Book The Package For You
Once you have spoken to Neil, he will be able to advise you on the package that is most suitable for you and your dog. You can then book your package and the date for your first session.
Step 3 - Time To Train!
On the date and time selected, Neil will come to your home or you will come to the Training Academy where Neil will create a personalised strategy for tackling the behaviour problems and show you exactly what to do. After that, you will work with Neil to get success in your training.
